Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 7, 2026

This policy explains how Kids Teeth ("we," "us," or "our") handles information collected through kidsteethsc.com. We are a pediatric dental practice with two offices in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and we know that families trust us with a great deal. That trust extends to this website.

This policy covers our website only. Information you give us in the office, over the phone, or through our patient portal is part of your child's dental record and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA, which is a separate document available at either office.

The short version

  • We ask for the minimum we need to call you back: a parent or guardian's name, email, phone, and the patient's first name.
  • Please do not send medical or insurance details through this website. Our forms are not designed to receive them, and we will collect that information by phone or in the office instead.
  • We use cookies and analytics to understand how families find us and to measure our advertising.
  • We do not sell your information.

Information you give us

Our appointment request and contact forms ask for:

  • Parent or guardian name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Patient first name or names
  • Whether the patient is new to our practice
  • Which office and time of day you prefer
  • How you heard about us
  • Any message you choose to write

We use this only to respond to you, schedule the visit, and keep our own records of the request. A form submission is a request to be contacted, not a confirmed appointment, and not a patient record.

What we deliberately do not ask for. Our website forms do not request date of birth, insurance policy or member numbers, Social Security numbers, or descriptions of your child's dental problem. If you enter that kind of detail anyway, our form will ask you to remove it before it can be submitted. Our front desk will gather what is needed through a secure channel.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records technical details when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the approximate region you are in. We use this to keep the site secure, fix problems, and understand which pages are useful.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies from the following services:

  • Google Analytics - how visitors move through the site, in aggregate.
  • Google Ads - to measure which ads lead to appointment requests and calls.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising tools - to measure and target our social advertising.
  • WhatConverts - call and form tracking. If you call a phone number shown on this site, the number you see may be a tracking number that forwards to our office, and the call may be recorded for quality and training purposes. Recorded calls are treated with the same confidentiality as any other communication with our practice.
  • Cloudflare - hosting, security, and bot protection on our forms.

These providers act on our behalf and are bound by their own agreements and privacy policies. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using this site or requesting an appointment.

Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals, because no common standard for honoring them exists.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only:

  • With service providers who operate this website and our email, analytics, and scheduling tools on our behalf.
  • With our marketing agency, which maintains this website for us.
  • When required by law, court order, or a lawful government request.
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of our patients, our team, or the public.
  • In connection with a sale or transfer of the practice, in which case the successor would be bound by this policy.
  • With your consent.

How we protect information

This site is served entirely over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. We limit access to submitted information to the team members who need it to schedule and confirm appointments. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is the reason our forms are built to avoid collecting sensitive health and insurance information in the first place.

How long we keep it

We keep website form submissions only as long as needed to respond to your request and to maintain reasonable business records, after which they are deleted. Information that becomes part of your child's dental record is retained according to South Carolina dental record retention requirements, not this policy.

Children's privacy

We treat this seriously, because we are a pediatric practice. This website is written for parents and guardians, and it is not directed to children. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to submit information about themselves through this site. Appointment requests are intended to be completed by a parent or legal guardian, and the only patient information we ask for is a first name. If you believe a child has submitted information to us directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You may ask us to confirm what information we hold from your website submissions, correct it, or delete it. You may also ask us to stop sending you marketing email at any time, either by using the unsubscribe link in any such email or by contacting us directly. To make any of these requests, use the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request about a patient.

Links to other sites

Some links on this site lead to services we do not operate, including our online patient forms and our online payment page. Once you follow one of those links, the privacy policy of that provider applies rather than this one. We encourage you to read it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on this page.
